The list of items mentioned above were sent to Ramechap District, one of the earthquake affected districts of Nepal. Almost all the homes are in a condition where they have to be dismantled. The items will be handled over to 3 VDCs each consisting of 9 Wards. Each Ward will take responsibility of the items and ensure that they are properly utilized to aid in the dismantling process. And also be reused in rebuilding shelters. Relief material has already reached these areas through the same team we have worked in co-ordination with.
JNYG assisted the team lead Mr. Ang Tashi Sherpa by procuring goods and handed over to one of our team mates.

Update 16th May 2015

At Bisdeutar (Region) they are not going to wait for anyone. They will move on. We will transfer resources, technology and council. The local school is damaged and needs repair. 2 local teacher have been located. Some skin disease has broken out. The Farmers are worried about the next harvest. With all this knowledge we will make a action plan. Medical assistance being urgent.Your help will reach this community of backward but resourceful people. They are traditionally all fishermen and farmers. Compared to some other communities we had assisted we chose this because of the receptiveness of the people towards our help.

Update May 4, 2015

Now we need data. If possible all in one place.

All government bodies will not be functional right away. May be the government should start mobile offices for info and co-ordination.

Jai Nepal Youth Group as of now is loading up two trippers on their way to Bisdeutar and Jyadi Sindhupalchok and its neighboring villages. On our way to our first targeted relief effort location. What we learned was that passing clusters of homes that also need help is not the best way to go. So we have adopted a strategy of concentrating in one geographical area.

Samrat R Satyal
Baiyanath Jha
